I am a coach and consultant deeply committed to supporting leaders of social justice organizations. My “unicorn magic” lies in helping leaders understand their people and systems so they can create healthy, powerful workplaces.

 
 

Much of my work focuses on strengthening senior leadership teams—deepening their capacity to collaborate with candor, respect, and alignment.

As a “labor doula,” I also accompany leaders through the process of recognizing staff unions and engaging in collective bargaining. I’m passionate about helping social justice leaders embrace staff unionization as an opportunity to strengthen their organizations. Over time, dynamics can shift away from “us vs. them” energy, and the labor management relationship can reflect (rather than disrupt) an organization’s culture and values. The process of building a healthy labor-management partnership can enhance clarity, trust, and leadership at every level. I am a co-founder of the Beyond Neutrality project, which includes a learning lab where we have studied and innovated ways to improve the experience of unionization.

I am available to:

  • Accompany leaders through the process of unionization, collective bargaining, and building labor-management partnerships

  • Strengthen or tune-up senior leadership teams through skills-building and team formation experiences

  • Design intentional supervisory cultures and train supervisors at all levels

  • Coach and mentor leaders, from executive directors to new supervisors
